Your AI agent promised the refund.
Did the money move?
Recoup checks every ticket your AI support agent closes against Shopify and Stripe. It finds the refunds that never happened, the ones issued twice, and the credits outside your policy, with the dollar amount on each.
| Ticket | What the agent said | What actually happened | At stake | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Damaged item | "I've refunded your order, you'll see it in 3 to 5 days." | No refund on the order. Customer opened a chargeback. | $84.00 + fee | Promised, not done |
| Late delivery | "Here's 20% off as an apology." | Code stacked with the sale price and a free-shipping code. | $31.60 | Outside policy |
| Wrong size | "Refund issued for the shirt." | Full order refunded, including the jacket kept by the customer. | $129.00 | Wrong amount |
| Where is my order | "It's on the way, tracking sent." | No money moved. Nothing to check. | $0 | Correct |
AI agents close tickets. Nobody checks the money.
Help desks mark a ticket solved the moment the agent replies. The refund, the credit or the replacement happens in another system, and nothing lines the two up.
Promised but not done
The agent says the refund is on its way and it never is. The customer comes back angry or files a chargeback.
Done wrong
A refund issued twice, a full order refunded instead of one item, a discount that stacks with a sale.
Done but not owed
Credits outside your written policy, refunds to repeat abusers, refunds for orders already delivered and kept.
How it works
Send three exports
Tickets from Gorgias, Zendesk or Intercom, orders and refunds from Shopify, payments from Stripe or Shopify Payments. No logins, no apps to install.
We line them up
Every ticket where money was promised is matched to its order and its payment. The money matching is plain code, so a model can never move a dollar.
You get the list
One report: the ticket, the promise, what happened, the money at stake, and a link to fix it in your own admin. Then keep it running weekly if it pays for itself.

Questions
Does Recoup need access to my store?
Not for the audit: it works from exports you send. The ongoing monitor uses read-only access. Fixes are always made by your team, from a link into your own Shopify admin.
Does it replace my AI support agent?
No. It sits beside it and checks its work, so you can keep the agent running and trust the money it moves.
Which tools does it work with?
Gorgias, Zendesk and Intercom on Shopify, with Stripe, Shopify Payments or PayPal. Any help desk that can export tickets works for the audit.
What happens to my data?
It is used only to produce your report, is never shared or sold, and is deleted 30 days after the audit unless you keep Recoup running.
Who is behind Recoup?
AGUNA Wellness Ltd (RC 9590421), the company behind the AGUNA app. We built Recoup because AI agents now move real money and nobody was checking it.
